103. Declarations of Interest
There were no declarations of interest made.
104. Exclusion of the Public
Resolved –
That the public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of Item numbers 4 to 6 on the agenda, on the grounds that they each involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 as amended by the Local Government (Access to Information) (Variation) Order 2006.

Resolved –
That the Public Section of the Minutes of the meeting held on 14 October 2024, having been previously circulated, be taken as read and confirmed as a correct record.
Members of the public were excluded from the meeting during consideration of the remaining items of business and have no right to inspect the reports,
which were considered whilst the meeting was not open to the public.

Resolved –
That the Committee concludes from all the available evidence that the appeal be Not Upheld.

An appeal against the Authority’s decision not to provide free home to school transport to Wold Newton Primary School.
Resolved –
That the Committee concludes from all the available evidence that the appeal be Not Upheld.
108. Appeal for transport to Nidderdale High School
Considered -
An appeal against the Authority’s decision not to provide free home to school transport to Nidderdale High School.
Resolved –
That the Committee concludes from all the available evidence that the appeal be Not Upheld.

109. Election of Chair for the meeting
In the absence of the Chair and Vice-Chair the Clerk sought nominations to appoint a Chair for the remainder of the meeting.
It was proposed by Councillor Barbara Brodigan and seconded by Councillor Caroline Goodrick that Councillor Nigel Knapton be elected as Chair for the remainder of the meeting.
Resolved -
That Councillor Nigel Knapton be appointed as Chair for the remainder of the meeting.

Considered –
